**Job Title:** Clinical Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at Provident Practice Management Services, LLC. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

About the Job:

This is a full-time opportunity working Monday through Friday. You will be responsible for preparing patients for preliminary eye exams, obtaining medical history, and providing technical support to doctors and other staff members.

Your duties will include:

  • Obtaining and completing health history forms for new patients
  • Providing patients with explanations of tests and procedures
  • Performing preliminary testing, including visual acuity and automated visual fields
  • Assisting with injections and minor procedures
  • Maintaining positive appearance of work-up and exam rooms
  • Cross-training and demonstrating competency in all clinics

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certification as a COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) within 24-36 months of employment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as needed
