**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Healthcare Specialist to join our team at University Clinical Health. This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who share your passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

**About the Role:**

The Neonatal Healthcare Specialist will provide total patient management for neonatal patients in collaboration with and under the direction of a physician. You will assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic health problems, following established neonatal standards, procedures, and protocols. Your expertise will also include giving patient care directions to nursing and other staff, adjusting nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient outcomes, and maintaining accurate documentation according to institutional guidelines.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of neonatal patients to identify potential health issues and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Treatment Plans: Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Clinical Procedures: Perform various clinical procedures, including administering medications and conducting diagnostic tests.
  • Patient/Medication Orders: Ensure accurate and timely ordering of medications and treatments for neonatal patients.
  • Test Interpretation: Analyze test results to inform diagnosis and treatment decisions.
  • Parent Education: Provide education and support to parents and caregivers on neonatal care and health management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.

**Requirements:**

  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Licensed as a RN, MSN degree and certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner required (must include Certification and prescriptive authority)
    • State of Tennessee licensure is required
    • 2 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
    • Knowledge of FDA
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Education and/or Experience:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or related field required
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a neonatal setting

**Estimated Salary:** $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
