Job Summary

This position oversees the operation of the Variety Department, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask with ease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and motivate department personnel to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Plan and order merchandise to meet customer demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging in suggestive selling techniques to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Meet departmental sales and gross margin objectives, analyzing data to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Manage inventory, preventing the sale of outdated products and maintaining accurate department records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Variety department procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to compute weights and measures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
