Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Operations Manager to join our team at ARRIVE Hotel Austin. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading a team of bar staff to achieve our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bar Operations: Manage the daily setup and breakdown of the bar, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and ordering of spirits, beverages, and supplies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of bar staff to provide exceptional guest service, ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the bar.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience in the bar, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the bar's inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate records of stock levels.
  • Staff Education: Provide ongoing education and training to bar staff on spirits, beverages, and service standards, ensuring that they are knowledgeable and confident in their roles.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the bar team, other departments, and management to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Anticipate and resolve any issues that may arise in the bar, including guest complaints, staff conflicts, and operational challenges.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a bar or hospitality management role, with a proven track record of success in leading a team and driving exceptional guest experiences.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve high standards.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests, staff, and management.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of spirits, beverages, and service standards, with the ability to educate and train staff on these topics.
