Job Summary

As an Executive Advisor, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the efforts of other professionals in multidisciplinary studies of extraordinary importance to the TSA and for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). You will oversee and integrate planning efforts to accomplish various phases of project requirements concurrently or sequentially. You will also serve as a liaison for the TSA with counterparts within DHS and other intergovernmental committees and working groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs and coordinates the efforts of other professionals in multidisciplinary studies of extraordinary importance to the TSA and for DHS
  • Oversees and integrates planning efforts to accomplish various phases of project requirements concurrently or sequentially
  • Serves as liaison for the TSA with counterparts within DHS and other intergovernmental committees and working groups
  • Attends high-level strategic policy meetings on behalf of the TSA and ensures projects are completed timely
  • Manages allocated resources (staff, budget, equipment, etc.) to organize workloads and meet priorities and objectives
  • Sets goals and expectations for the division and provides oversight of all facets of division functions
  • Manages subordinate employees, providing ongoing feedback regarding performance and progress towards meeting the division priorities and objectives
Requirements
  • Must possess U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S. National
  • Must have reached the minimum age (18) at the time of application
  • Must complete a favorable Background Investigation (BI)
  • Selective Service registration is required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Qualifications
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-J or GS-14 Pay Band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector
  • Knowledge of transportation security laws, rules, regulation, policies, precedents, and operations
  • Ability to plan, direct, and carry out long-range and highly complex policy studies, projects, or program analyses
  • Knowledge of project management and executive principles, concepts, and theories
  • Ability to perform a variety of supervisory duties and responsibilities
