We are seeking a driven individual to take on the role of Procurement Specialist. The successful candidate will oversee the acquisition of materials and services from vendors. This role will involve developing, negotiating, and sustaining partnerships based on pricing, service quality, and overall value for our internal and external stakeholders, reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics.

Importance of This Role:

This position is crucial for coordinating all inbound and outbound material logistics between suppliers, third-party warehouses, and installation contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage material procurement from a global vendor network.
  • Negotiate pricing, product specifications, and payment terms with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Field Operations, Product Management, and Fulfillment teams to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • Establish key performance goals and identify metrics to support them.
  • Understand vendor and client requirements, striving to exceed expectations.
  • Gain proficiency in the company's operational and business applications, including Field Operations, Accounting, Product Management, and Fulfillment.
  • Communicate estimated shipment timelines by coordinating with the fulfillment team.
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of monthly/quarterly inventory reconciliations.
  • Authorize vendor invoices related to purchase orders.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management processes and systems.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures to reflect current practices, ensuring proper documentation of all procurement activities.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in procurement and material management.
  • Ability to distill complex, data-driven information into clear insights.
  • Proficient in Netsuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a systematic approach. Strong customer service skills and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan functions to support Field Operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities.

Location: Hybrid work schedule.

Compensation: $70,000—$90,000 USD based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
