NESC Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead the transition from new product development to manufacturing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing daily manufacturing support for existing products and developing, implementing, and improving processes.
Key Responsibilities- Process Development and Implementation: Plan, design, and coordinate the integration of machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process, ensuring seamless execution and optimal performance.
- Operational Efficiency: Drive continuous improvement through innovative engineering solutions, operational efficiencies, and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
- Equipment Management: Develop and write equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposals, and oversee installation to ensure machines and equipment function according to specifications.
- Supply Chain and Maintenance: Determine parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedule for machines and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal productivity.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements in methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions, and develop models for alternate processing methods and propose implementation of improved procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Assist team leaders and members in evaluating and implementing continuous improvement projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Robotics or related field, or equivalent work experience in machining or tool making.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metalworking, stamping, or machining, with experience with ERP systems, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
- Skills: Programming experience with CNC, lathes, and milling machines is a plus, and familiarity with Fanuc Industrial Robotics is advantageous.
- Industry Knowledge: Automotive experience is highly desirable, and awareness and incorporation of designs, including PLC troubleshooting, updating, and program upload, is essential.
