Job Title:
Speech Language Pathologist for Regional Day School Program for Deaf Students

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech therapy services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, developing and implementing individualized programs to meet their unique needs, and collaborating with teachers and other school staff to promote speech, language, and listening skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech therapy services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
Develop and implement individualized programs to meet the unique needs of students
Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to promote speech, language, and listening skills
Evaluate speech, speechreading, listening, language, and signed language communication skills of students
Provide information and serve as a consultant to teachers and school staff on speech, language, and listening skills
Maintain thorough ongoing records for each individual student receiving speech therapy services

Requirements:
Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
State License for Speech/Language Pathologist
Certificate of Clinical Competency-SLP-Preferred, CFY acceptable
Ability to communicate with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students via sign language
Basic knowledge of Special Education
Experience or training with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (or willing to learn)
Knowledge of hearing aids and F.M. amplification systems (or willing to learn)
Knowledge of Signing Exact English-Preferred (or willing to learn)

Working Conditions:
Work with frequent interruptions
Maintain emotional control under stress
Repetitive hand motions
Prolonged use of computer
Occasional prolonged and irregular hours
