Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Ector County Independent School District. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders via a remote, virtual platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct remote, virtual evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions.
  • Develop and implement individual and group therapy plans to meet the needs of students with communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students.
  • Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and work more effectively with students with communication deficits.
  • Establish a virtual environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity level and interests of students in collaboration with the in-person proctor.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
  • State License for Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency-SLP.
  • Texas Resident.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience.

Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent sitting, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. The employee may be required to lift light objects and assist non-ambulatory students. The employee may be exposed to biological hazards, bacteria, and communicable diseases.
