Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the Executive Chef.

Key Collaborations:
Kitchen Staff, Stewarding Staff, Food & Beverage Staff.

Role Responsibilities:

The Kitchen Sanitation Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware, and pots.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensuring the dishwashing equipment is in proper working order.
  • Assisting in the cleaning of other areas of the kitchen as required.
  • Performing janitorial duties to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A strong understanding of basic sanitation practices.
  • Familiarity with dishwashing equipment and the ability to operate it effectively.
  • The capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with team members.
  • A professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Working Environment:

This position involves standing for extended periods and may expose the individual to varying temperatures and moisture levels.


Preferred Experience:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least one year of experience in a high-volume kitchen setting.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a culinary environment.
