As a Staff Accountant specializing in Financial Reporting at Sinclair, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our regulatory filings. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of financial principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team in the accurate and timely preparation of regulatory filings, including quarterly and annual financial statements, proxy documents, 401K reports, and other necessary submissions.
  • Compile various schedules and perform variance analyses for management, the board of directors, and external auditors.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly closing schedules.
  • Implement controls surrounding financial reporting processes.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in financial reporting, corporate accounting, or public accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Active CPA certification or in the process of obtaining it is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset with effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with advanced skills preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle software is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to work effectively across various departments.

Please note that this position requires in-office attendance at our Corporate Headquarters.
