Financial Operations Manager for Luxury Fragrance Brand

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at House of Sillage, a luxury fragrance brand. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial records and account personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management and Reporting:
    • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
    • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
    • Perform ROI analysis and manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance:
    • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and assess any necessary changes.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
    • Collaborate on tasks and projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
  • Strategic Planning and Analysis:
    • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
    • Participate in long-term financial planning and strategy sessions with senior management.
    • Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of new business ventures and growth opportunities.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Oversee accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and financial analysis.
    • Implement and maintain accounting software systems to streamline operations.
    • Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
    • Oversee the preparation of cash flow forecasts and report variances to management.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
    • Ensure appropriate insurance coverage is maintained and evaluate risk management strategies.
  • Innovation:
    • Contribute to process improvements and system upgrades for enhanced efficiency.
