Job Overview

Catholic Charities of Central Texas is dedicated to empowering families and promoting healthy relationships. As a Healthcare Outreach Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting families with Medicaid enrollment and helping them understand their insurance benefits.

This position requires a strong interest in public health, healthcare, and community outreach. You will serve as a member of the St. Gabriel's Pregnancy & Parenting Program, assisting clients in navigating healthcare services and collaborating with healthcare community partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with Medicaid providers to understand their offerings and helping clients review their benefits
  • Providing healthcare case management and advocacy for SGPPP clients
  • Gaining an understanding of medical providers in the counties we serve and helping clients access a medical home
  • Outreaching to healthcare providers and organizing health fairs and topics for SGPPP clients
