Health Information Associate Job Description

RAYUS Radiology is a leading provider of radiology services, committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S. We are seeking a highly skilled Health Information Associate to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process incoming and outgoing medical report requests on a daily basis
  • Answer telephone requests for patient files from referring physician offices and patients
  • Prepare daily duplicates and reports for delivery by courier services
  • File and organize courier lists of outgoing films and reports
  • Ship items leaving the clinic using preferred shippers as needed
  • Retrieve outside films for doctors, technologists, and research
  • Communicate with attorneys and insurance companies regarding patients
  • Communicate with patients to ensure they receive the records they have requested
  • Follow all HIPAA guidelines for release of information
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Data entry experience
  • Proficient with using computer systems and typing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous medical records experience
  • Bilingual
