Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biologics Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of our Biologics Engineering team, you will be responsible for enabling antibody-based constructs and production from our bespoke AI-designed antibody libraries using eukaryotic systems.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to designing the ideal lab environment to support your library and molecule building workflows, including molecular biology and robotics/automation. The data you generate will be used to train our state-of-the-art ML platform to design potent and drug-like antibodies.
Responsibilities:- Generation of antibody-based constructs and libraries from AI-designed sequences
- Molecular Biology, DNA vector designs and DNA cloning capabilities
- DNA sequence analysis
- Subcloning of hits into mammalian expression vectors
- Site-directed mutagenesis
- Expression and purification of antibody constructs in mammalian cell culture at micro, medium and large scale as appropriate
- Binding assays based on FACS, flow cytometry and ELISA
- Careful documentation and record-keeping of scientific results
- Molecule registration and inventory, and data upload to databases and LIMS systems
- Curation of data for ingestion and utilization by ML scientists
- BA in Molecular Biology or Protein Engineering and 4+ years industry experience in biologics discovery and protein science OR MSc and 2+ years experience
- Excellent molecular biology, DNA cloning and protein engineering skills
- Familiarity with liquid handling systems and high-throughput screening systems

- Ability to work efficiently in a close-knit team and deliver high quality, reproducible data in a fast-paced environment
