About the Role

Takeda is a global biopharmaceutical company committed to creating innovative treatments for patients worldwide. As a Research Scientist in our Antibody Discovery and Engineering team, you will play a critical role in developing novel biologics therapies for various diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute immunization strategies to generate high-quality antibodies
  • Conduct hands-on immunization methodologies, including protein, cell, and DNA materials, using diverse immunization routes and/or gene gun strategies
  • Perform animal tissue harvest, B cell separation, and refined enrichment techniques for antigen-specific antibody screening
  • Collaborate with high-throughput mammalian expression teams for downstream expression and purification tasks
  • Work closely with NGS discovery teams to incorporate thoughtful analysis throughout the discovery process
  • Prepare and present comprehensive technical or project reports and formal presentations to internal and external audiences
Requirements
  • PhD degree in a scientific discipline (or equivalent), or MS with 6+ years relevant experience, or BS with 8+ years relevant experience
  • Demonstrates theoretical knowledge of in vivo antibody-based antibody discovery
  • Keeps current with emerging trends in the field
