National Purchasing / Procurement Analyst

Job Overview

At MDC Holdings, Inc. | Richmond American Homes, we're seeking a results-driven National Purchasing Analyst to join our team. This role will play a key part in implementing sourcing strategies that deliver best total value for our divisions across assigned markets and trade categories.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Establishing quantity estimates, takeoffs, and plan reviews to support corporate cost management directives for rough trade categories
  • Collaborative support of the bidding and RFI/RFP process
  • Comprehensive analysis of supplier and manufacturer proposals, including financial and non-financial criteria, to facilitate award recommendations
  • Accountability for national supplier and manufacturer contract administration
  • Comparatively auditing and benchmarking costs for assigned categories and divisions
  • Identifying new vendors in the market and conducting product feasibility research
  • Division support, including data analytics, data input, system support, and national program rollouts


Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or a related field
  • MS Excel proficiency
  • An understanding of home building operations and analyzing supply industries, key cost drivers, and market dynamics

Compensation

The base salary for this role is $60,000-$75,000, with a FLSA status of Exempt and a bonus type of year-end discretionary.
