Generator Service Specialist

HM Cragg is seeking a Generator Service Specialist to enhance our Generator Service Department. This role is pivotal in delivering technical knowledge and assistance to our service teams across the region. Under the supervision of the Regional Service Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency of power generation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on power generation equipment
  • Diagnose intricate mechanical and electrical issues on-site
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements in the industry
  • Offer technical guidance to field service technicians
  • Foster a culture of safety and regulatory compliance
  • Suggest enhancements to improve operational efficiency and quality

Essential Requirements:

  • Solid electrical and mechanical skills
  • Experience with a variety of tools
  • Expertise in troubleshooting
  • Understanding of electrical systems and prime movers
  • Proficient in computer applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years in power generation
  • Generac Master Certified Technician is preferred
  • EGSA Journeyman Certification is advantageous
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Travel and Work Expectations:

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Flexible working hours and on-call duties
