Lawrence Hall is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Foster Care Therapist to join our team. As a Foster Care Therapist, you will work closely with foster care youth, biological families, and other stakeholders to provide individual, group, and family therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry a selected caseload of foster care youth and biological families, focusing on individual, group, and family treatment modalities.
- Develop and review Mental Health Assessments and Treatment Plans with supervisor.
- Provide clinical intervention, parent coaching, placement stabilization, and ongoing support during family crises and placement disruptions.
- Utilize good verbal and written communication with employees, referring agencies, community resources, and youth/families.
- Maintain flexibility to adjust work schedule according to program needs.
- Master's degree in Social Work or related Human Service field with LSW or LPC upon hire and one year of related experience.
- Knowledge of childhood trauma and prior experience working in settings with youth and families exposed to trauma or experiencing traumatic stress.
- Knowledge of youth development, adolescent issues, and positive youth development/strength-based approach.
- Personal vehicle or access to vehicle and proof of insurance.
- Valid IL, IN, or WI Driver's license.
- No history of child abuse or neglect.
- Ability to pass background and drug screen.
- Full-time employees receive 2 times their salary in term life insurance for no additional cost.
