Foster Care Specialist

Brightpoint, a leading human services organization, is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Foster Care Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our child welfare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive and trauma-informed case management services to families involved in the child welfare system.
- Assess the safety and needs of children and families, and develop and implement individualized plans to support their well-being.
- Collaborate with biological families to strengthen their parenting skills and knowledge, and provide support to foster families to ensure the needs of the foster children are consistently met.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with service providers and institutions that play a role in the family's situation.
- Monitor biological families' efforts and progress towards goals aimed at family reunification, and provide testimony in the Juvenile Court System regarding the best interest of children and families.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a closely related field.
- Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL), Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP), and Child Abuse and Neglect (CANS) certification required, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to speak English and Spanish required.
- Experience providing collaborative, strength-based services to kids and families preferred.
- Ability to attend in-person meetings and events as needed required.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
