Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide continuous and professional HR support to our business. This role includes activities related to functional areas such as onboarding, offboarding, benefit administration, payroll, HRIS, record management, employee relations, policy implementation, and full-cycle recruitment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent HR support, including:

  • Handling all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conducting manager training on HRIS systems.
  • Identifying, sourcing, and assessing diverse pools of qualified candidates, managing them through the full recruitment process, and focusing on delivering exceptional onboarding experiences.
  • Assisting payroll processing, including bi-weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee files, bonus pay, tracking PTO, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes.
  • Partnering with HR management when conducting investigations and resolving team member issues.
  • Conducting exit interviews and providing feedback to relevant members.
  • Providing support to employees on various HR-related topics, such as leaves, compensation, and resolving issues and problems.
  • Identifying ways to improve policies and procedures.
  • Gathering and analyzing data with useful HR metrics.
  • Performing benefits administration, including claim resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Working with hiring managers to develop job descriptions.
  • Coaching and advising employees on HR programs, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university preferred or equivalent related experience.
  • A minimum of 1+ years of previous experience as a HR Generalist or HR Intern in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive manufacturing).
  • Experience with ADP HRIS preferred.
  • Previous experience with payroll required.
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
  • The ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • The ability to identify and solve problems, work within deadlines with a high attention to detail, and work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery.
  • A broad, basic understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Office.

Estimated Salary Range

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
