Job Title: Behavioral Health Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Nurse to join our team at Marion County Health and Human Services. As a Behavioral Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to individuals with serious mental illness and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing services in behavioral health programs, including assessment and care of clients as part of the treatment plan.
  • Evaluate medication effectiveness and other health care needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Conduct telephonic triage and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Document patient information and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • One year of behavioral health nursing experience or other related experience.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
  • Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) certification or registration within 90 days of hire.
