About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Clinician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient-Centered Care: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention and support.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Create and implement comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient, taking into account their medical history, cultural background, and personal preferences.
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide clear and concise communication to patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged in the care process.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Meet Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of RN experience within the last five years or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente NW Ambulatory RN New Grad/transition to practice program.
  • Certifications: Registered Nurse License (Washington) within 6 months of hire OR Compact License: Registered Nurse within 6 months of hire, Registered Nurse License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire, Basic Life Support required at hire, Pediatric Advanced Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience with population care/case management, triage and advice, Labor and Delivery or outpatient OBGYN experience in performing Fetal Non-Stress Tests.
  • Certifications: Certification as competent in performing antenatal testing; including limited ultrasound, Use of electronic medical record technology, Competent in new insulin starts, Well versed in care of pregnant diabetic patient and train in GDM.
