The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Operations Manager is accountable for overseeing the EHS initiatives across multiple production facilities. This role emphasizes a balanced focus on safety and health (80%) alongside environmental stewardship (20%). The primary responsibility is to enhance safety protocols and environmental compliance at various manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the evolution of the safety culture within the organization, implementing and refining programs related to ergonomics, machine safety, and more.
- Foster collaboration among manufacturing and plant leadership to promote safety enhancements and engagement.
- Implement corporate EHS programs and provide strategic guidance by collaborating closely with Corporate EHS leadership.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Essential Skills: Experience in mentoring and coaching EHS teams; ability to unify and empower employees; inspirational leadership qualities; adept at managing relationships at all levels; proactive in promoting safety; effective communication skills with executive leadership; hands-on approach with a proven ability to drive impactful change.
