Key Responsibilities
  • Internal Communications: Develop and oversee internal communications, including editing and content advising for internal communications, intranet management, blog content creation, and staff communications.
  • Event Programming: Support and manage event programming, remarks, and speeches for KIPP's Team & Family events.
  • Communication Strategy: Develop and implement a robust internal communications strategy to build affiliation and pride among staff, while consistently informing them of important information and context.
  • Content Creation: Create engaging content for internal communications, including articles, newsletters, and other materials.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate and increase brand awareness of KIPP Texas' high-performing public charter schools, student success, and commitment to education for all.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of full-time professional experience required.
  • Skills: Strong writing skills in English and Spanish, experience with current and new technology, attention to detail, and high-level organizational and analytical skills.
  • Cultural Competency: Ability to relate to and communicate with staff and parents from diverse cultural, language, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to various KIPP Texas regions when needed, with travel time not to exceed 10%.
