Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Hearst Television. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping us make data-driven decisions by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and consolidate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Analyze data sets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that can provide valuable insights
- Develop and apply data models and algorithms to aid in decision-making
- Create and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards that effectively communicate data findings to various stakeholders
- Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to present data in an understandable and visually appealing manner
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations that can drive business strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging data analysis technologies to identify opportunities for enhancing data collection
- Monitor and maintain data quality, identifying and addressing data inconsistencies or inaccuracies, cleansing as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline, preferred
- One to three years' experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques
- Experience in data visualization and reporting tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings in a clear and understandable manner
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
