Position Summary: We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant (MOHs) for our Chesterfield and Glen Carbon locations. The Medical Assistant will be tasked with delivering exceptional medical, clinical, and administrative support within a healthcare environment. We welcome candidates with no prior experience but who possess a keen interest in healthcare, teamwork experience, and attention to detail, along with a flexible schedule.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 30+ hours. Availability required Monday through Friday during operational hours of 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Flexibility to assist in a collaborative team setting is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a professional and inviting atmosphere that enhances patient service and care quality.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all standard operating procedures and policies relevant to the clinical department.
  • Possess thorough understanding of clinical treatments to effectively address patient needs, including proficiency in pre-care and post-care instructions.
  • Ensure all equipment is checked at the start of each shift and maintain cleanliness in treatment rooms.
  • Conduct inventory management and supply stocking as required.
  • Complete all required training and continued education within designated timeframes.
  • Assist physicians during Mohs surgery, medical, cosmetic, allergy, and/or laser procedures, preparing and cleaning surgical/exam rooms accordingly.
  • Accurately document prescribed treatments, medications, lab requisitions, and other necessary procedures.
  • Handle payments, schedule follow-up appointments, and track inventory utilized during patient visits.
  • Adapt to new workflows, including patient notifications and messaging.
  • Maintain office cleanliness and manage waste disposal.
  • Support front desk operations or greeting duties as needed.
  • Apply knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance in daily activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an outpatient surgical clinical setting is highly preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification is strongly encouraged.
  • Experience with EMR software and patient scheduling systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Outlook.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent patient relations and customer service abilities.
  • Demonstrated follow-up skills and accountability.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and dedication are crucial.
  • Open availability to work during scheduled hours.
  • Understanding of HIPAA & OSHA compliance is required.
