Family Care Specialist

The Family Consultant plays a pivotal role in identifying the needs of eligible foster care families, connecting them with essential services, and facilitating access to those services. As a team leader, this position is responsible for planning and implementing direct treatment and overall management of assigned caseloads of children and families served by KidsPeace New England.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead team meetings and 90-day reviews, develop treatment plans, and oversee the overall treatment of foster children.
- Provide supervision to Family Support Workers/BHPs as assigned.
- Conduct intake, assessment, plan of care development, coordination, and advocacy services.
- Schedule regular meetings with assigned children and families to counsel, support, and monitor treatment progress, safety, and overall well-being.
- Coordinate, monitor, and act as liaison between necessary clinical, educational, behavioral, and healthcare services with KidsPeace professionals or community-based providers.
- Attend and testify at court reviews and judicial proceedings as required by state regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for each client file in compliance with KidsPeace Quality Assurance standards and external licensing and regulatory bodies.
- Master's degree in a human service field or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of child welfare and family services.
