Qualifications and Experience (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas sector
  • Expertise in data extraction, processing, and analysis using SQL
  • Strong programming proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation
  • Experience in developing visualizations and dashboards with PowerBI and Spotfire
  • Familiarity with GIS mapping
  • Comprehensive understanding of reservoir simulation, RTA, and modeling techniques
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication abilities and capacity to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting

Qualifications and Experience (preferred)

  • Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and machine learning applications in reservoir engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification

Compensation

The cash compensation for this position is targeted between $109,200 - $176,300 annually. Final offer amounts will be determined by various factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may differ from the stated range.

Work Environment

This role involves both office and field environments. Employees may work in a shared office space or private office. Field visits may be required, exposing employees to various environmental conditions.

Physical Demands

Employees must have the visual acuity to operate a vehicle and view computer screens for extended periods. Fieldwork may require walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Position Type and Working Hours

This is a full-time role with typical hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. Employees should be prepared to work overtime as needed.

Travel

Occasional travel to work sites may be necessary, including overnight stays for training, seminars, or field visits.
