Job Title: Senior Reservoir Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our Reservoir Characterization team in Denver or Houston. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with geologists, petrophysicists, data scientists, and asset team engineers and geoscientists on projects aimed at improving our understanding of depletion strategies, well placement, and completion design practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain fracture and flow simulation models of SM's various assets
  • Calibrate models to field data and revise model parameters as new data becomes available
  • Collaborate with completion design teams to provide fit-for-purpose models for investigating alternative completion designs
  • Work with asset teams on joint studies of well spacing, targeting, and production strategies
  • Contribute to building best possible static descriptions of the subsurface, providing engineering input to geologic and petrophysical studies
  • Analyze data from various internal systems and external data from other operators, Enverus, and/or other publicly available sources
  • Communicate results in a clear and concise manner to upper management and executives
  • Ensure business is conducted with the highest ethical standards and demonstrate decision-making skills that ensure the safety of all persons associated with SM facilities

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering is required
  • 6+ years of reservoir engineering experience
  • Experience with numerical simulation in Resfrac or CMG
