IBM Maximo Systems Specialist

Smart Synergies is in search of a skilled IBM Maximo Systems Specialist who will oversee the installation, configuration, upkeep, and support of a newly established IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. This role involves collaboration with a team of IT experts to ensure that the Maximo system effectively serves the requirements of our federal clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the installation, configuration, and maintenance of a fresh instance of IBM Maximo EAM software across two 3-node clusters, which include the user interface, middleware, and DB2 database.
  • Administer Maximo EAM system settings and configuration modules, along with workflow development.
  • Manage data archiving and restoration; create, support, and maintain reports for the Maximo EAM system; execute queries and generate ad hoc reports as necessary.
  • Formulate and enforce system security protocols.
  • Assist in the addition, modification, and granting of access to the Maximo EAM system.
  • Diagnose and resolve system-related issues.
  • Support trainers in developing content to educate new users on the Maximo system.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate Maximo with various systems.
  • Ensure the system remains current with the latest Maximo releases and updates.
Qualifications:

Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Maximo system administrator.
  • Proficient in the installation and configuration of IBM Maximo EAM software.
  • Expertise in DB2 database management.
  • Experience utilizing Maximo with IBM's DB2 database.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of system and network security principles.
  • Must be a proactive and analytical problem solver.
Applicants must possess an Active TS/SCI Clearance

Preferred:
  • Certification in Maximo Asset Management Engineering.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, and/or CISSP standards.
  • Understanding of ITIL Foundation Version 3.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition and procurement processes.
