The Medical Billing and Registration Specialist II plays a crucial role in delivering account registration, billing, and administrative assistance to the assigned physicians and the Corporate Office. Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting and validating current demographic and insurance details.
- Engaging with insurance providers as needed.
- Processing weekly billing cycles.
- Compiling and submitting daily and monthly performance metrics.
- Supporting the Medical Director and physicians with various administrative tasks.
Additionally, the role involves:
- Preparing billing and registration documentation.
- Submitting required statistics on a daily and monthly basis.
- Providing comprehensive support to the Corporate Office and the Patient Account Department.
Attendance at the annual Hospital Associate Conference is required, which may involve overnight travel. Adequate notice will be provided to accommodate personal commitments. Further travel opportunities may arise as necessary.
Qualifications:Candidates should possess an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution, or have one to two years of relevant experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical billing is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and O365 is essential.
