As the Supervisor of the Sterile Processing Department, your responsibilities will include:

Recruiting, training, assessing, and mentoring staff, while establishing and upholding optimal standards for sterility assurance and fostering a safe and organized professional atmosphere. Demonstrating proficiency in managing fiscal and human resources, along with a comprehensive understanding of all relevant accreditation and regulatory standards, including AORN, AAMI, OSHA, and JCAHO. Preferably possessing knowledge in Materials Management procurement and distribution. Cleaning and disinfecting equipment requiring decontamination or sterilization according to established aseptic principles and being accountable for testing and documenting sterilizer equipment performance to ensure compliance with sterility standards. Maintaining established control systems for supplies and equipment processed and coordinating daily communication and operational requirements with related departments. Potentially serving as the technical expert for a specific service line, responsible for enhancing service line processes and daily quality outcomes. Leading performance and process improvement initiatives.

*$4K New Hire Incentive and $4.5K Relocation for candidates moving from over 100 miles away.

To maintain eligibility for your retention incentive, the following criteria must be met:

Position Pay Range: $33.98-$50.40/hour

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health discloses the pay range for all positions. Actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. This range applies to employees residing in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees living out of state. Requirements

Required Qualifications

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:

Completion of a college training program for SPD or an online study program or completion of a formal on-the-job training program. 3 years of experience as an SPD Technician. Working knowledge of sterilizers, surgical instruments, and medical equipment. Proficient in MS Office and familiar with database management. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CBSPD Certification. Leadership experience.

Preferred:

· 4 or more years of SPD experience.

· Bachelor's degree.

· Experience in materials management procurement and distribution.
