As the Supervisor of the Sterile Processing Department, your responsibilities will include:

Recruiting, training, evaluating, and mentoring staff while establishing and upholding high standards for sterility assurance. Managing fiscal and human resources effectively, with a thorough understanding of accreditation and regulatory standards, including AORN, AAMI, OSHA, and JCAHO. Knowledge of materials management for procurement and distribution is preferred. Ensuring proper cleaning and disinfection of equipment requiring decontamination or sterilization, along with testing and documenting sterilizer performance to maintain sterility standards. Maintaining established control systems for supplies and equipment and coordinating daily communication with related departments. Acting as a technical expert for specific service lines, responsible for enhancing service line processes and quality outcomes. Leading performance and process improvement initiatives.

*New hire incentive of $4K and relocation assistance of $4.5K for candidates moving from over 100 miles away.

Eligibility for hiring incentives excludes:

Internal candidates Rehires who left Scripps less than three years ago

To maintain eligibility for retention incentives, the following criteria must be adhered to:

Must retain original hired FTE status and shift (if specified in the offer letter). Must remain in the original department/specialty. Must keep the original job title. Transfers to other locations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may lead to forfeiting remaining incentive bonuses unless specified in the offer letter. Pay Range: $33.98-$50.40/hour

In accordance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health discloses the pay range for all positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. This range applies to employees residing in California only, and a geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees living out of state. Required Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

Completion of a college training program for SPD or an online study program, or completion of a formal on-the-job training program. Minimum of three years of experience as an SPD Technician. Proficient knowledge of sterilizers, surgical instruments, and medical equipment. Competence in MS Office and familiarity with database management. Strong communication and customer service skills. Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CBSPD Certification. Leadership experience is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Four or more years of experience in SPD.

· Bachelor's degree.

· Experience in materials management for procurement and distribution.
