Position Overview:

This position involves enhancing automated testing processes, evolving current testing frameworks, and elevating system quality for both new and existing medical device systems. This distinctive role encompasses comprehensive testing of medical device systems, which includes implantable devices, mobile applications, and patient management platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and sustain high-quality software tools for non-medical devices within a regulated framework.
  • Implement automated testing protocols at scale, conduct failure analyses, and enhance the performance and reliability of existing testing suites.
  • Convert requirements into testing protocols and automated scripts for thorough evaluations.
  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical hardware along with relevant tools and infrastructure.
  • Oversee system evaluation activities (i.e., validation and verification).
  • Generate reports based on the outcomes of evaluation activities.
  • Exhibit a commitment to patient safety and product excellence by adhering to the Quality Policy and all documented quality processes. Foster a work environment that upholds the Quality Policy and Quality System.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and testing methodologies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (3+ years of experience) or Master's degree (1+ year of experience) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in systems engineering testing or a related area, particularly with mobile/server-based systems.
  • Proficient in collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; and developing conclusions and recommendations from various stakeholders.
  • Capability to analyze test results and conduct necessary risk assessments.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with iOS and Android operating systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience with programming languages such as Perl, Python, C/C++, and/or Java.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with mobile device testing and automation tools like Appium, Selenium, Robotium, Geb/Spock.
  • Basic understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with change management and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, AccuRev, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Windchill, DOCS).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are advantageous.
