Position Overview:

In this position, you will play a key role in enhancing automated testing processes, refining current testing frameworks, and elevating the quality of both new and existing medical device systems. This exceptional opportunity entails comprehensive testing of medical device systems, including implantable devices, mobile applications, and patient management solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and sustain high-quality software tools for non-medical devices within a regulated framework.
  • Implement automated testing protocols at scale, conduct failure analysis, and enhance the performance and reliability of existing testing suites.
  • Translate requirements into testing protocols and automated scripts for thorough evaluations.
  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical hardware and related tools and infrastructure.
  • Oversee system evaluation tasks (i.e., validation and verification).
  • Document findings from evaluation activities in detailed reports.
  • Exhibit a commitment to patient safety and product excellence by adhering to the Quality Policy and all established quality processes and procedures. Foster a work environment that champions the Quality Policy and Quality System.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and testing methodologies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (3+ years of experience) or Master's degree (1+ year of experience) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in systems engineering testing or a related area, with an emphasis on mobile/server-based systems.
  • Proficient in collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data; capable of summarizing findings and formulating conclusions and recommendations from various stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze test outcomes and conduct necessary risk assessments.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with iOS and Android operating systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience with programming languages such as Perl, Python, C/C++, and/or Java.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with mobile device testing and automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, Robotium, Geb/Spock.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with change management and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, AccuRev, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Windchill, DOCS).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are advantageous.
