Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Custom Design Engineer to help drive our product development from concept to launch. You will work closely with various departments to ensure the success of new products and solutions for our diverse markets. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your design skills and contribute to CPC's goals.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead product development projects from start to finish
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Engage with customers and internal teams to address product performance issues
  • Adhere to safety regulations and uphold CPC core values
  • Handle other job duties as needed

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration
  • Experience with CAD software such as PTC Creo or Solidworks
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and design innovation
  • 5+ years' experience in product design
  • Proficiency in designing plastic components
  • Problem-solving skills and curiosity for new solutions
  • Desired character attributes: Drive, Resiliency, Curiosity, Team-ability

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Experience with fluid handling components
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and medical device components
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Background in machining and Finite Element Analysis
  • History of working directly with customers on new product development

Travel:

  • Up to 5% travel may be required

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds and close vision required
  • Various physical movements may be necessary
