Opportunity Available: Liver Transplant Nursing Coordinator

We are looking for a committed and skilled Liver Transplant Nursing Coordinator to provide exceptional care for transplant patients, their families, and living donors. This position encompasses a variety of duties including pre-transplant assessments, management of the transplant procedure, patient education, and follow-up care after surgery.

If you possess a strong dedication to care coordination and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient environments, we encourage you to consider this role.

  • Oversee care for patients following liver transplantation
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess potential candidates for transplantation and collaborate with the medical team
  • Facilitate evaluations for prospective transplant candidates and living donors
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding the transplantation journey
  • Ensure adherence to OPTN regulations and organ distribution protocols
  • Maintain thorough documentation of donor and recipient details
  • Track patient recovery following transplantation
  • Engage in ongoing clinical research initiatives within the transplant center
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric or solid organ transplant nursing
  • Current RN License
  • CPR certification
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology of Renal, Liver, Heart, and Lung conditions
  • Capability to deliver age and diagnosis-appropriate care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proficient time and resource management skills
