Position Overview

  • Cook Responsibilities - Prepare and serve meals, including specialized diets, in accordance with facility menus and applicable regulations. Ensure quality dining services are consistently provided, and assist in maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Safety Protocols - Utilize protective gear as required and ensure safe mixing and use of cleaning solutions. Report any equipment or cleaning product needs promptly. Follow infection control and safety procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality - Maintain consistent attendance and timely completion of assigned tasks. Respond promptly to operational needs.
  • Customer Interaction - Represent HCSG positively by being courteous and cooperative with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
  • Resident Engagement - Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

  • Exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine tasks.
  • After completing necessary training, demonstrate leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities independently.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in food preparation. Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is necessary as per state regulations.
  • Must be punctual and able to meet scheduled work hours.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is mandatory.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be capable of performing repetitive tasks consistently.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residence within the service area is required.

Compensation will vary based on factors such as location, experience, staffing needs, and other business considerations.
