Job Description:

Your primary responsibility will be to develop information systems and models to understand complex threat scenarios, including weapons of mass destruction, hurricanes, and infectious disease outbreaks. You will apply AI and ML techniques to improve the security, reliability, and resilience of electrical power systems.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program in electrical engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours (or full-time equivalent).
  • Must currently have and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in power system modeling and simulation.
  • Familiarity with tools such as PowerWorld, MATPOWER, PSSE, PowerModels, Simscape, PSIM, or PSCAD.
  • Experience with generative adversarial networks (GAN) and Bayesian inference.
  • Relevant power engineering experience at electric utilities or through a senior design project is preferred.
