Job Summary:

Thyssenkrupp Polysius North America, Inc. is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for performing heavy mechanical work, including inspection, disassembly, assembly, and new installation of heavy industrial equipment and components at cement production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform heavy mechanical work, including inspection, disassembly, assembly, and new installation of heavy industrial equipment and components.
  • Work with various types of equipment, including kilns, raw- and finish mills, material handling, and processing equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols, including MSHA/OSHA regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Field Supervisor and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
  • Perform maintenance and cleaning activities of tools and equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Punctual and able to manage time independently with minimal supervision.
  • Hands-on and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Quality mindset.
  • Must have knowledge of basic bolting, welding, and flame cutting.
  • Able to use hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
  • Operating knowledge of hoists, pulleys, jacks, and come-a-longs.
  • Familiarity with basic hand signals and basic rigging knowledge including safe working load limits.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move 50 lb.
  • Industrial Equipment (forklift, man-lift, scissor lift, Telehandler, etc.) operator a plus.
  • MSHA trained and knowledgeable of MSHA/OSHA regulations.

Travel Demands:

This position requires extensive travel throughout the United States. Employee is regularly required to be away from home for several weeks at a time. Ability to travel and work overtime (including nights, weekends, and holidays along with working outdoors in all weather conditions). A valid US Driver's license is required.
