We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a "CAN DO" attitude and be able to work with their team to perform the following tasks:

  • Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials using trucks, power cranes, shovels, or related equipment.
  • Operate machines to spread, smooth, and level materials on road beds or other job sites as needed.
  • Observe grade and adjust machine settings accordingly.
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment for safety and mechanical defects.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended periods outdoors in all seasons.
  • Coordinate machine actions in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
  • Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment using mechanics' hand tools.
  • Know and follow safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required or directed by their immediate supervisor or other manager.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in the civil construction industry.
  • 5 years of verifiable experience in equipment operations.
  • Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background check.
