Job Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) plays a vital role in promoting successful learning for students with oral communication and speech/language impairments. This position is responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing individualized speech and language treatment services to maximize student learning.

The SLP maintains regular communication with students, parents, and staff members, and is responsible for implementing and revising Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Patience, compassion, and empathy are essential qualities for this role.

This position reports to the Site Administrator and the Director of Special Education.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop individualized speech and language treatment services
  • Implement and revise Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and staff members
  • Collaborate with the Site Administrator and Director of Special Education
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • California Credential in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working with students with oral communication and speech/language impairments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
