Singer Industrial is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Norfolk, VA. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing mechanical assembly tasks, including hose assembly, using hand tools and power tools, and conducting quality control checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble hoses and couplings using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment, including tools
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verify specifications by measuring completed component with tools such as a manual tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
Requirements and Skills:
- Ability to follow instructions and diagrams as delivered for each product
- Experience with hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly of hoses
- Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures
- Attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
