JOB SUMMARY

This role is accountable for ensuring a hygienic and secure Facility/Warehouse environment. The incumbent will execute tasks in accordance with Preferred Work Methods (PWM).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Eliminate all waste and debris from the warehouse and loading dock areas.
  • Address any spills of products or other foreign substances.
  • Utilize power scrubbers, sweepers, and other warehouse machinery.
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse walls, floors, racking, doors, etc.
  • Ensure the facility's building, grounds, lighting, and parking areas are clean.
  • Sanitize restrooms, offices, break rooms, and locker rooms.
  • Adhere to the daily schedule as assigned by the supervisor to maintain a consistent sanitation program.
  • Uphold the warehouse as a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.

Experience

  • Prior sanitation experience in a warehouse setting is highly preferred.

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee frequently must use hands and fingers with controlled dexterity to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and utilize taste/smell.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
