Chemistry Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Professor to join our team at Tacoma Community College. As a Chemistry Professor, you will be responsible for teaching introductory chemistry courses, including organic and inorganic chemistry, to students with no prior chemistry background.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and teach courses in introductory chemistry, including both organic and inorganic chemistry, in a classroom environment.
- Successfully teach students with no prior chemistry background.
- Perform duties as assigned.
- Masters degree in Chemistry or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience teaching at a community college and/or the freshman & sophomore levels.
- Successfully complete a criminal history background check prior to employment.
- Establish and maintain a safe laboratory environment for students.
- Professional and courteous interactions with students, faculty, and staff.
- Part-time faculty salary range is per credit hour starting at $1,208.89 to $1, Salary ranges are subject to any approved COLA's after initial placement.
- Lab credit hours are paid at 50% the credit hour rate.
- Professional Services hours are paid at a flat rate of $44.00-$44.00 per hour.
