Chemistry Professor

Tacoma Community College is seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Professor to join our faculty team. As a Chemistry Professor, you will be responsible for teaching introductory chemistry courses, including organic and inorganic chemistry, to students with no prior chemistry background.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching methods to promote student learning and success.
- Prepare and teach courses in chemistry, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
- Stay current with developments in the field of chemistry and incorporate new knowledge and techniques into teaching and research.
- Masters degree in Chemistry or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience teaching at a community college and/or the freshman and sophomore levels.
- Work in a fast-paced academic environment with multiple deadlines and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional methods.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities.
