Sanitation Supervisor

Darigold is seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining corporate policies and procedures related to quality, food safety, and sanitation.

• Lead and maintain plant SSOPs and Master Sanitation Schedule, designing and implementing new SSOP's as required.
• Conduct regular training of employees for compliance with SSOP's instructions and policies.
• Take ownership of the sanitation program and accept responsibility for all aspects of the sanitation activities.
• Coordinates activities to identify, troubleshoot, solve, and prevent problems affecting sanitation.
• Maintain sanitation equipment and chemical inventories to assure availability for effective cleaning.
• Perform routine sanitation inspection and verify efficacy with associated equipment through visual inspection and microbiological testing.
• Understand the manufacturing process, equipment design and layout to ensure proper sanitation and efficient production startups.
• Monitor CIP systems and documentation to ensure proper cleaning. Validate records and compliance to established parameters.
• Cultivate and promote a positive and innovative work environment.
• Supervise staff in accordance with company policies, procedures & GMP's.
• Monitor employee practices related to cleanliness, sanitation, and pest control.
• Assist in sanitation activities as needed.
• Help develop a strong sanitation program within the plant; to supervise, train, and develop sanitation employees. Train all new and existing employees for CIP, sanitation, and cleanup within the plant to drive a successful sanitation program.
• Monitor, maintain and continuously upgrade plant quality systems to include HACCP, GFSI Programs, Food Safety Programs, FSMA compliance, Environmental Monitoring Program, Sanitation, etc.
• Work closely with Chemical and sanitation providers
• Assure proper chemical usage and supply
• Overseeing recordkeeping and documentation is in accordance with Darigold policies and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as member of the food safety team for the plant.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to facilitate implementation of corporate quality systems positively and proactively.
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others and to operate independently as required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Key leadership competencies in addition to high ethical standards, strong values, integrity, drive to deliver results, pride in personal and team performance, decision quality, building effective teams, and action orientation are fundamental imperatives.
• Work overnight, weekends, and rotating/varying shifts - as needed.
• Reliability - begin work on time and conform to work hours and schedule

• Must have 3-5 years of experience in Dairy or Food Sanitation and be familiar with CIP system
• Must have 2 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• B.S. Degree in Food/Dairy Science/Microbiology or an associated discipline.
• HACCP certification
• Knowledge in Environmental monitoring Program
• Drain Sanitation Program
