This role involves providing clinical oversight and expertise in the development, implementation, and evaluation of all Autism programs and services at Hospital for Special Care.

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled psychiatrist to join our team as a Staff Psychiatrist for Autism Services. This individual will provide direct patient treatment, participate in family conferences, and coordinate team meetings for care of patients in the program.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient treatment and care as indicated.
  • Participate in family conferences of referred patients as clinically indicated.
  • Provide on-call services in collaboration with department providers.
  • Coordinate team meetings for care of patients in the program.
  • Continually identify and pursue opportunities for process improvement in patient care that supports HFSC's culture of high reliability.
Requirements
  • Board certified by the ABPN in Psychology.
  • Licensed by the State of Connecticut.
  • Current Affiliate Member of Hospital for Special Care Medical Staff.
  • Preferred: 3 or more years' experience managing autism services.
Estimated Salary

$200,000 - $250,000 per year based on location and qualifications.
