Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to join our team in Northern Virginia. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans to promote Government initiatives and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver a variety of communications materials, including reports, briefs, and presentations, to effectively communicate Government initiatives and priorities.
  • Develop proactive and responsive solutions to business needs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in individual, team, business unit, and organizational processes.
  • Collaborate with Program Office leadership to prioritize potential initiatives, identify and de-conflict cross-initiative schedules and resources as needed.
  • Develop customer-facing and partner-facing collateral and presentations, ensuring successful implementation of client brand strategies.
  • Build powerful communications through sound strategy and excellent execution, leveraging expertise in research and content development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any field; high school, vocational school, or trade school diploma and five (5) years' work experience in a similar field may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in strategic communications, with the ability to research and draft original content for various communication channels and methods.
  • Ability to plan, develop, design, and revise corporate websites, with a strong understanding of digital communication strategies.
